Amazon FBA Private Label
Lets start with basic concepts first.
Amazon is trillion dollar eCommerce Marketplace, spanning in multiple continents.
Fulfillment by Amazon is a service, where pick, pack and ship tasks are handled by Amazon itself on behalf of Sellers. Its a big relief and Amazon's buyer are assured that, their bought item from Prime Seller will arrive on-time.
Private Label Products are items that a trader get manufactured himself/herself or from 3rd Party, and get it shipped to Amazon.
Following are some steps that a seller takes;
a) Product Hunting
b) Product Sourcing
c) Shipment to USA
d) Launch
e) Ranking
Which item to sell over Amazon and be profitable is a big question. One slight mistake at Product Hunting will put you in jeopardy.
Product Sourcing require that you get your item manufactured in such a price that, the cost, including shipping to USA will give you atleast 25%~30% profit.
Instead of list-and-pray, we got to launch our product over Amazon and work over its ranking to the top of the search result. You got to keep Amazon's terms and services.
Once your product reaches top of the page, the Ranking phase starts, here at this stage, all you strive, is to keep top position.
