So here's an honest one for you.

Last week I accidentally deleted our entire website. Not "oops, wrong button" small — I mean the whole thing, gone, in the space of about four seconds while I was trying to fix something completely unrelated. My stomach dropped.

I could've just restored the old backup and moved on. But since I was rebuilding anyway, I decided to actually fix the things I'd been putting off for months — the clunky navigation, the slow load times, the layout that looked like it was designed in 2022 (because it kind of was).

So Vexil 3D Labs has a brand new look. Same domain, same filament, same me — just a site that's actually pleasant to shop on now. Cleaner, faster, easier to find what you're after.

Silver linings, I suppose. 😅

Still ironing out a few small things, so if you spot anything weird while browsing, let me know — I'd genuinely rather hear it from you than find out three weeks later.

Stringy prints aren't always a filament problem. It can be a retraction problem.

Before you blame the spool, check your retraction distance and speed in your slicer. Bambu Studio and Cura both ship with conservative defaults that undershoot what most direct-drive setups can handle.

Save this post before your next print looks like a spider built it.

Four colours in one box, and none of them look the same twice.

I just added the ERYONE Dual-Color Matte PLA combo pack to the store — and this one's a bit different from the usual rainbow filament you've seen everywhere.
