Great service doesn’t come from job titles — it comes from people who are willing to step in, help out and get the job done.

Hannes – Owner and the brainchild behind New Age Promotions, keeping the ideas coming and the team moving forward.

Noah – Our Graphic Designer & Customer Service Representative, helping with everything from creative design to walk-in Business Centre services like printing, photocopying and scanning.

Vanessa – Our Receptionist and one of the friendly faces keeping things organised and making sure our customers are looked after.

Marlene – Our resident printer guru! When printers misbehave, Marlene is the one we turn to.

James – Our Sales Consultant, helping customers find the right branding, printing and promotional solutions for their needs.

This is personal.
I’m sharing this today not as a business post, but simply as a person, a man, and a member of our community.
The fact that women are being told that they should walk or run in pairs because they are safer that way should concern every one of us.
Women should not have to change the way they live their lives, where they go, or how they move around because they are afraid of becoming victims of violence.
Safety should be a right — not a strategy for survival.
Gender-based violence isn't only a "women's issue". It affects families, children, partners, friends and entire communities, and men have an important role to play in saying clearly that violence, intimidation and abuse are not acceptable.
I stand with every woman and every person whose life has been affected by gender-based violence.
We need to do better. We need to speak up. We need to support survivors. And we need to raise a generation that understands that respect is not optional.
This isn't about politics, business or gaining attention.
It's about people. It's about dignity. It's about being able to live without fear.

Design-ready does not mean print-ready.
We need to talk about the growing disconnect between digital creation and physical production.
Lately, more clients—and even some graphic designers—are walking through our doors handing over low-res screenshots, compressed exports from free design apps, or direct AI prompts from tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney. They look slick on a phone screen. But the moment we zoom in or prep them for press? Pixelation, broken vectors, flat RGB color spaces, and muddy resolutions.
The hardest part isn’t fixing the files. It’s the expectation that printers can perform miracles on files built without bleed, scale consistency, or proper color separation, simply because "it looked good on Canva."
AI and rapid design tools are fantastic for brainstorming concepts and inspiration. But creation is only step one. Production has rules physics and presses cannot ignore.
To my fellow print pros and designers: How are you handling the shift in client expectations?
Where do we draw the line between creative enablement and technical reality?
