🚨 Tragic Bus Crash Claims 42 Lives
A devastating accident on the N1 near Louis Trichardt has left 42 people dead and 49 injured, including several children. The bus, carrying passengers to Zimbabwe, veered off the road and overturned down an embankment.

🇿🇦 President Cyril Ramaphosa extended condolences to the nations of Zimbabwe and Malawi, calling it a shared tragedy.

Authorities remain on scene and have implemented stop-and-go as recovery efforts continue and investigations into the cause are underway.

Heavy thunderstorms, hail, and possible flooding are expected this afternoon as a cut-off low-pressure system moves across the region. The South African Weather Service has issued Level 2 alerts for Monday, 6 October, between 14h00 and 22h00.

The storm may cause damaging winds, power outages, traffic disruptions, and localised flooding in low-lying areas.
