🥾🌄 Discover the Sphinx Hiking Trail at ! 🌄🥾

The Sphinx hiking trail is situated in the Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Free State, between Ficksburg and Rosendal. The base camp is located at the Langesnek Leadership Centre, from where hikers will commence their hike.

🚶‍♂️ Route Information:
The trail starts just behind the dormitories where it crosses the fence and sets off in a southerly direction. It traverses various terrains, from bluegum trees to a natural swimming hole called "Spiraalgat". The route offers breathtaking views over the Moolmanshoek valley and the "Mini-Serengeti" plain, where various wildlife species like zebras, black wildebeest, and springboks can be spotted.

📅 Route Information:

Maximum number of hikers: 20
2 days/nights
Day 1: 15 km
Day 2: 7 km
🏞️ Overnight Facilities:

Comfortable accommodation at Langesnek: 3 rooms (6-8 people each) and a dormitory
Fully-equipped kitchen with electricity, pots, pans, fridge, and basic crockery
Ablution facilities, lapa with braai area, and a splash pool
