I’m a designer. I see faces in the slate tiles on my bathroom floor. I squint my eyes when I look at my lawn so the grass looks like a carpet. I look at the background of commercials f

or design ideas and afterwards have no clue what they tried to sell. I look at a magazine ad or shop window and either think “I could have done it better than whoever did it’ or ‘Cool! I wonder who did that?’. I look for inspiration in everything around me. I observe. I don’t rely on fancy design programs with cool plug-ins to think or design for me. (although the plug-ins come in handy) I see what I want the outcome of my design to be in my head before I even switch the computer on. I am creative.. I do not walk around thinking that I am good or even great at what I do – even when told that I am. For if I do get in that mindset that I am good, I believe that I would fail – I will fail my clients and myself. I always question myself – maybe I should have gone with my second idea instead of this one, maybe I should have used the green in that spot like I tried in the first place, maybe I should have tried that technique instead of going with this one...maybe, maybe, maybe. That is the only way to I push myself to improve on every design and push myself to be more creative. I am humble. A client going ‘Wow’ is food to any designer...especially after the first try. That means I listened and understood them correctly, but went the extra mile. I saw what they saw in their heads and was able to transfer that idea on a screen/product for everyone to see, but added that little extra creativity. That is when you get the ‘Wow’ effect. I love challenges. Yeah, I think I’m a designer. Ok, so besides designing...(we do that) we also do: *pull in long breath* business cards, pamphlets, signs, magnets, shop windows, name tags, banners (any form), corporate ID, key rings, steel cutout letters, stickers, VEHICLE BRANDING (we are good!), lightboxes and whatever else you can think of.
