To run and grow a successful E-Commerce business you need 3 key components:

1st- Make sure that consumers know you exist...

2nd- Once they know who you are, you need to ensure they never forget about you...

3rd- Finally once they have done business with you, you have to get them back and do business with you again and again...

This sounds like something all businesses should be doing, does it not?

Then why is it, that so many do not actively follow these key points?!

By observation:
So many businesses hope and pray that consumers will notice them, when they do, by pure luck, those consumers will remind themselves that the business exist and when by the roll of the dice, they bought from the business, to diarise their next shopping spree at that business!

That would be glorious, would it not? Like the myth; 'we'll build it and they'll come!'.

Think about how much more profitable your E-Com store will be...

If you actually captured everyone's email when you drove them into your messenger/DM channels!

Driving a conversation is way more profitable than just chasing a prospect because they got tagged with your pixel.

Also do not only rely on exit popups, abandoned cart and purchase actions to collect emails and gather people's info.

Conversations cover those cracks so many consumer fall through never to be seen by you again.

You've been spending time, for the last six months, trying to grow your business!

You've mostly broke even!

Let's imagine, sitting next to you is your clone, who's done the exact same thing but have pushed most traffic (~40 to 50%) into a list building system, into an automated sequence that collected lead information.

So that your clone could re-market to subscribers, lets say that on the surface you both made exactly the same amount of money on your ads and efforts!

A bit unlikely, as with list building via messenger, DM's, email and sms there are always automated follow ups!

All this stuff happened over the last 6 months but now Black Friday arrives, both wake up on Black Friday morning and the clone goes "Hey I'm going to discount everything on my store by 20%!", incidentally you have the same thought "I'm going to discount everything on my store by 20%"!

Now, how do you let people know?!

An ad you run or you make a post to your 1000 followers and then you're pi**ed!

Nobody buys!

Your clone on the other hand has a list of 9 000 people.

The clone send an email out: "Hey thank you so much for being on our VIP list! We want to let you know we're having 20% off site wide!".

Who do you think makes more money?

Your clone didn't have to spend any money!

Your clone spent zero additional money. Spent the same amount of money to get people in, made equal amount of money on the way in!

But now on the days that matter, Black Friday, the audience that knows them gets to see the clone's offer versus your audience that might know you a little, maybe they clicked on your previous ad, but that audience on FB is gone, now!

You run that ad and it doesn't even reach those people anymore because they're outside the window of the seven-day retargeting attrition!

So this is one of those classic fails!

This I see happening right now, there's all these people who are trying to build a business, trying to grow their business and they're not focused on how to do 'I take somebody from not knowing who I am, to knowing who I am and getting their information, so that when it comes time, for me to make another offer, I am able too because these people are in my list!'

I've said it many, many times, I literally don't care what business you're starting or running, if you started it, with the focus, of building a list, you'd make more SALES! More money!

On your product pages, in BOLD RED copy, write something like: Do this even on your social media posts, inside messages, email and sms where applicable!

"X days left to order for guaranteed Christmas delivery!"

Oh yes, write everyday, manually a new daily number counting down to the December shipping cutoff.

Creates urgency and give a real reason for people to buy right now.

After shipping cutoff, switch your product pages over to free shipping and change the text to read:

"Your order may not arrive by Christmas, with THAT the shipping's on us!"

This can convert LIKE CRAAAAZEEEE!

GO GET 'EM TIGER!!

PS: Do not forget to keep on building your subscriber/customer database/s!

All about notifying your customers/prospects that a specific deal will launch on BF!

Do not try and sell it now or make it available now!

Only on BF!

And make sure that you tell people that those on your email list get first notification/access. As in 2 Hours before social media followers do.

Plus the offering/deal is limited quantity/time availability. Fear of missing out will play a huge role especially if the deal/promo has high value or heavily discounted.

Make use of messenger (FB) and Dms (IG) conversational automations to acquire people's info to be notified early or only they will get the special coupon.

This is how you gather people's info for nurturing and more promos in the next 12 months. Always grow your email and sms list/database, especially on special days like BF and CM!

Add them to a rewards program, survey and segment your list.

A segmented list produce way better results as the offers are specific to certain segments or to all,

Also a rewards program will produce up to 92% more revenue than not having one.

Something to consider, instead of a landing page, rather do an ad into messenger (automated)! We all know FB hate sending people off FB to a LP!

With a messenger path as soon as the person enters (subscribe) their name, surname and gender is known. FB also assigns them an userid.

With a few conversational πŸ’¬ questions later, like what's your email (pre-populated) and what's your phone # (pre-populated) you can be ahead of any LP.

So even if they left and you only have their full name, gender and userid then you are still way ahead. You now also have an open conversation. πŸ’¬

You have 24hours to send that person anything you like and after 24hours you are allowed to insert directly an ad with anything you like into that open conversation. Obviously keep the conversation going and not promo upon promo.

Or by using that userid you are now able to show them anything in their feed you like through ads, be conversational. Being pixelled, but better!

Three lists in one (omni-channel), messenger (IGDM and WA to follow soon), email and sms. Personal undivided attention.

Try that with a LP. And this will beat the IOS update.
