A heartwarming milestone has been reported from the animal welfare world in the United States, where two shelters have reached full adoption capacity for their dogs.
The Adams County SPCA in Pennsylvania announced that all of its dogs have been adopted, marking the first time in 47 years that its kennels have been completely empty. Around the same time, Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control in Florida also reported that every dog in its care had found a home.
Shelters like these typically rely on a combination of adoption events, foster networks, and rescue partnerships to move animals into permanent homes.

As you all know, Piper has pancreatitis and has lost 3.6 pounds, feels very weak and feels a lot of pain. She is on pain meds, antibiotics and meds to help stop her diarrhea. She was doing great at first but suddenly stopped eating altogether. She’s seeing the vet this afternoon. Thanks for all your well wishes ❤️

Growing up, I watched my mother clean the chicken coop using wood ash.It looked simple. It looked old fashioned,at some point i thought its because there was plenty of wood ash.

Years later, am a chicken farmer. Even with my Kienyeji flock Diseases are hitting hard. Birds died one after another. I have been buying drugs. I followed dosage. I spent money. But Nothing changed.

I blamed feed. I blamed everything.

Then my mother stepped in.

She looked at my coop once and said, “Your problem is not drugs. Your problem is your floor.

I started cleaning lower side of my house with ash . I added ash in nesting boxes. I set a dust bath with ash and soil.

Within days, things have started change.

-The smell gone
-The floor stayed dry
-Birds stopped scratching and stressing
-Deaths dropped

That is when I understood.

Most poultry diseases thrive in wet environments. Ash dries the litter. It controls mites and lice. It lowers the spread of infections like Coccidiosis. It improves hygiene without spending on drugs.

I was fighting symptoms but my mother concept fixed the cause.

Am still using ash in my chicken units.
