🐟🍊 Baked Hake with a Citrus and Spicy Touch 🐝✨
A different, quick, and flavorful recipe that combines the tenderness of hake with the fresh touch of Tango mandarin, a hint of ginger, and a zesty splash of brandy.
🛒 Ingredients (serves 2):
2 hake fillets
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 small piece of grated fresh ginger
1 mandarin, chopped + juice of 1 Tango mandarin 🍊
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
1 splash of brandy
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
Extra virgin olive oil and salt to taste
👩🍳 Step by step:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F).
2️⃣ Prepare the sauce: sauté garlic and ginger in extra virgin olive oil for 1 minute, then add the mandarin juice and chopped mandarin.
3️⃣ Stir in the cayenne pepper and add the brandy, letting the alcohol evaporate.
4️⃣ Add the cornstarch and cook until slightly thickened. Adjust the salt to taste.
5️⃣ Place the hake in a baking dish, pour the sauce over it, and bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness.
