Let me tell you about Amy! 🌸
She’s such a talented and amazing lady who has achieved so much in the time I’ve known her. We first met 8 years ago when she was a full-time mom, and now she’s grown into an incredible product and real estate photographer.

I still remember her very first steps into photography — I just knew she was going to be excellent! One of our first shoots together was a sweet family session in the canola fields 🌼 (I’ve shared a few glimpses below).

My kid had a market day at school, and each one had to make something to sell. My daughter decided on pom pom keyrings 🪢🧶
Funny enough, this whole thing was a great reminder about business—and finding something to sell. Here’s what I can confirm:

1️⃣ Don’t sell the same thing as everyone else. If 10 stalls are selling the same product, you’ll sell very little (or nothing!). Be different so people notice you.

2️⃣ Trendy products work! People love buying what’s popular, even if it’s a little overpriced.

3️⃣ It’s okay to take a chance on something new. Even if it’s not trending right now, you could be ahead of the game and the first to gain loyal customers.

4️⃣ Talk about your product! Don’t be shy to tell people about it or share it with your friends. Excitement is contagious!

Our pom pom keyrings? They were a hit! 🎯 But what makes me even happier is that it was my daughter’s idea, something new that I believe has never been sold at our school before 😃 And most importantly, we made a profit!

Before market day, she also went to school with her ready-made product and advertised it to her schoolmates—and you know what? It made a difference! We sold our first pom poms before the official market time even started 😁😅
So now my child can buy herself a little something she’s been dreaming about!

Moral of the story: Never be afraid to start something new... there are NO silly ideas!

Hey, everyone!
As we approach the holiday season, let’s come together to support the Santa Shoebox Project 👟🎁
Some time ago, Canal Walk Shopping Centre hosted a lovely activity for kids—Decorate Santa's Shoebox. It was there that I first learned about this wonderful initiative! You can collect up to 5 boxes FREE of charge at Canal Walk or Table Bay Mall, bring them home, and why not turn it into a lovely playdate? Teach the kids about kindness and let each of them decorate a box. On the Santa Shoebox Project website, you’ll find a full list of what goodies to include and how to pledge your child!
After you r done with decorating the box and putting in the necessary items, you should drop off the box at your nearest Shopping Centre. For example at Table Bay Mall ( ground floor at the Table Bay Mall office)
This incredible initiative aims to bring smiles to children in need by providing personalized gift boxes filled with essential items and treats. Imagine the joy on a child’s face when they receive a box just for them! 💖 Each box is filled with love and hope, making a real difference in their lives.

Here’s how you can help:
1️⃣ Sponsor a Box: Get involved by sponsoring a box for a child. It’s a wonderful way to show you care!
2️⃣ Volunteer: Join hands with the community to pack and distribute the boxes. Your time and effort can make a huge impact.
3️⃣ Spread the Word: Share this project with friends and family! The more people know, the more children we can reach.
Let’s make this holiday season one of giving and kindness. Together, we can light up the lives of many children in Cape Town. Thank you for your support! 🎉❤️
