Ever wonder how big to make images for different kinds of social media posts? 🤔

Here is a nifty little guide that you can save and come back to if you are ever in a pinch. 👌

These sizes are based on the standard sizing for HD quality screens. So, they are not just random numbers! 😅

I just have to add that I sometimes upsize my square designs to 1200px x 1200px for more complex designs with lots of details. I have found it increases quality.

In honor of International Women's Day (yesterday) - just a gentle reminder that you have the whole world right at your fingertips.

The moment that the first woman had a voting pen at her fingertips, the world started to change.

The moment a woman has ingredients at her fingertips, she makes a nutritious meal for her family.

The moment a woman touches her baby for the first time, she morphs into a capable-of-fighting-off-a-bear mother.

The moment a woman has ANYTHING at her fingertips, she brings a different perspective and can (very literally) make the world a better place.

Hear me out! 👇👇

I don’t mean that you shouldn’t like anything you post.

I mean that when it comes to creating content for your business, your first priority should be your TARGET AUDIENCE.

And if it just so happens that you and your lifestyle fit into that demographic, then that’s great. You will be able to resonate with everything you create for your audience - because you are part of it.

BUT, if you run a business that caters to a target audience that does not include you, then you might not be able to effectively serve your audience if you are creating content and ads that YOU like.

Try and step into the shoes of the person you want to buy from you, and see things from THEIR point of view. Create content THEY would love to see.

This trick saves me a LOT of time with content creation for social media - whether I'm doing a last-minute post or batch creating.

A Christian children's book written in a rhyming pattern and featuring hand-drawn illustrations.

This book will help young children (0-8 years) process the death of a gradparent, or actually any loved-one for that matter.

Written by Kimberly Jordaan

Illustrated by Angelique Bouwer

Edited by Nicole Bouwer

💥 It's a project announcement!! 💥

'The Moon Looks Like Cheese' is a children's book that I've been working on with an old-acquaintance-turned-new-friend.

wrote it, and I illustrated. My sister-in-law .bouwer edited the book, which makes it extra special.

I also did the layout of the book and a logo for the publishing company.

The story is written as a rhyming poem and all of the illustrations were hand-drawn before they were edited to be used in the book.

The story will help children grieve the loss of a grandparent when they don't really understand the concept of death yet.

All-in-all, there was a LOT of love and effort put into this project, and we are very excited to share it with the world!! 🤩🥳

The book will be available in English and Afrikaans, and for sale through Amazon (most major regions) and on Takealot in South Africa.

There is something to be said for consistency, of course! But, don't let the urge to stick with one thing hold you back.

At the end of the day, it is YOUR business. It is YOUR house. It is YOUR clothes. Whatever it is you are growing away from - let it change!

I promise the world will still be in tact after the fact! 🌍 (it rhymes, so it must be true, lol!)

If your business colours have become out of touch with what your business values have grown into - change 'em!

If you have been dreading using that old font that you don't like anymore - swop it out for something you like more!

Sometimes we become so stuck in a mindset of having to stay consistent, that we lose ourselves in it.

I believe that we grow and change as life moves us forward - and that everything around us grows and changes with it.

Say it out loud at least 3 times RIGHT NOW. Say it until you can see it. 🤩

This is a mantra that I learned when I was in my lower-teens at a youth camp. It has stuck with me ever since.

Believing that there IS a future for me, even when I don't see it yet, is suuuch a game-changer. Because it means that you're agreeing with your purpose.

Say it over you, your family, your business and everything you touch.

Even if it is going well at the moment, it can always do better. AND, what's the harm in speaking a proclaiming a better future?!

"I'm somewhere in the future, and I look much better than I look right now."
