Hands on the wheel. Eyes all over.
Look.
Birds above, all around, showing off in sight and sound. 🦜

Moer koffie on the brew,
and sticky marshmallow spit on a stick,
roasting over open, warm fires. ⛺️

Tongues click, curl, and hiss as we hop,
from corner to corner,
continent to continent,
further and further. ⛰️

last look 📔

The last leaf has fallen, and so the season of autumn exhales its final breath. We pause here, just for a moment, to savour – a deep inhalation, held gently – for Curate. 🌾

May she always remain in spirit, in stillness. 🤍

Tomorrow marks the final on-shelf day to find Curate – House and Leisure () Volume 20 – though she’ll still be available to purchase online for a little while longer, before winter arrives with something new… (keep your eyes posted). 👀

As a last note for our ‘Gallery’ journal, Editor-in-Chief, , unpacks why we get to call ‘pottering about’ a full-time job. Because trust us, it is. 👓

Moving something one inch to the left, no, two inches down. 🔍 Or, ‘let’s swap out the mustard yellow lamp for something completely different, like a canary yellow lamp’... Others may think, ‘What’s the point?’ To us, that is the point. It’s the (not-so-subtle) art of arranging things, things that make all the difference. 👁️

‘But did you go to Milan?’ 🤌

After what seems to be a two week recovery, we’re ‘back’ – finally able to digest the ‘muchness’, splendour, overindulgence, carbs, romance, champagne, language and stimuli that occurred over this jam-packed week in Milano. 🍝

For an experience that’s kinda hard to describe, we thought to show you instead. A 1min30sec slice of our time at Salone Del Mobile, aka Fiero Milano, Milan Design week, aka one of the most-attended (must-attend?) events of the year. 🍕
