In the last years I've been contacted several times by publications around the world regarding the conservation photography I used to do and love. It is a great pleasure to contribute toward research and history. This particular article was about the lineage of the Urang Utangs of the Nüremberg Zoo. One of their male Urang Utangs, Dumai, was sent to the Johannesburg Zoo in 1998 where he died in 2015.

I took this photograph between 2011 - 2014 while volunteering at the Johannesburg Zoo as a photographer.
