We are excited to announce that Khoi & San indigenous knowledge keeper Gershan Lombard will be facilitating a Kanna Ceremony at the Outeniqua Stone Circle on the 19th September 2026.

We'd like to invite you to pre-book your tickets for Gershan's Kanna (Sceletium), Sound and Breathwork Ceremony.

Gershan is a contemporary Bushman, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, sound weaver and breath worker, and we are so blessed to have his healing works in the Garden Route.

*About the event*
We are excited to introduce and extend the utmost gratitude to Davide Shamanzi, who facilitated the very first sweat lodge at the Outeniqua Stone Circle over Winter Solstice 2026, and will once again be joining us to pour on Spring Equinox.

Davide’s journey with sacred sound and ceremonies began over 30 years ago, with initiations in the Andes, Africa and India/Eastern Tao.

He follows the way of the hollow bone, of a sonic channel, of the Abangoma, and has been in ceremony with various indigenous global cultures.

His path weaves traditional medicinal practice of ceremonies, sweat lodge and Ancestral initiations, working with groups and individuals.

He is blessed by Baba Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa with the name of Madabuza, “the one who makes a path through the forest for others to walk”.

Davide is also registered as an Ethnomedicine Practitioner.

The fire will be lit at 4pm, after sweat lodge we will gather around the fire for music and story telling.

What a beautiful wholesome day at Redlands school with Fae Botanicals facilitating our first Three Sisters Planting Ceremony

We started the day with a meditation, and a short workshop and reading from Braiding Sweetgrass on the Three Sisters, and then we got to work.

We decided to try planting four one meter beds, with different corn and beans variety to see what works best in our climate and conditions.. but we'll be at the school every second week to continue the regeneration of this garden. Which we found out was started by Green Hearted Projects and Bobo Naftali during the Knysna Food Security Project in 2023.

We plan to start doing permaculture workshops at the school with the kids in the near future as an extra- curriculum activity. If you'd like to get involved, get in touch, donations are always welcome to keep our various community projects going 💚 www.growcommunitygrow.org

Exciting news for our team and all the kids in our area!

We have .journeys.gershan coming to run a music workshop with the Young Hopes and many other youths from Kraaibosch and surrounds. We will also be taking Gershan to Blanco to facilitate a workshop for the kids there in George. This will be happening on the 19th and 20th of September.

We're expecting close to 100 kids between the two venues and we need your help to feed everyone, contribute to Gershan's travel expenses from Cape Town, and compensating our facilitators. We're aiming to raise R15 000.

I am still excited about these corn seeds, even if they have been attacked by weavils. They are the first seeds from my first succesful corn year. And I'm planting tons for our Three Sisters Planting Ceremony at Redlands school in collaboration with Fae Botanicals, so we have lots to plant, lots to sell, and lots to give away to the community. Bless the soil, bless the root, bless the seeds, bless the fruit. These seeds will survive and thrive and bring an abundance of corn to the community. Hopefully 136 corn plants or more from here.. can I math? 6x16?

Planter boxes anyone? It's not what we're building, but we can definitely make them custom sizes. Which allows you to support us in removing and upcycling invasive wattle and building economic empowerment in our community and you get a cool planter to do the vegetables thing. It's almost spring, and time to start planting 🌱🌾🌻
