You could suggest to an unemployed friend, "Let's wash taxis and earn R500 a day each, making R15,000 a month." But often, they'll refuse, citing their degree or the heat. Yet, if Capitec offers them R167 a day (R5,000 a month), they'd accept and celebrate. It's a strange reality: many prefer the prestige of office jobs over more lucrative work on the streets. You can earn R10,000 a month cutting grass, more than some in suits. Ignore what others think and focus on the reality.

It's about the numbers, not the appearance. While you're in overalls making good money, others might laugh, unaware you're earning more. Women selling food at taxi ranks make no less than R1,000 a day, yet are looked down upon by those in air-conditioned offices. Big corporations exploit this desperation and reluctance to seek alternative work.

What matters is how much you make, not how it looks. Many are overworked, underpaid, and dressed in debt, pretending everything's fine. Remember, it's the substance, not the facade, that counts. Stay true to yourself. ✊✊✊
