Beyond Covid-19 lies turbulence, change and opportunity.
South Africans must insist on innovative solutions and new policies to ensure that when the country emerges from this governance and economic crises, it does so not only aware of the country’s weaknesses, but also primed to effect the necessary changes, writes Pieter du Toit of News24.
With this in mind I had to look at my business through different eyes or be lost in the past. Prior to lockdown I was consulting to a broad base of clients, from Bankers, Event Managers, Artists, Guesthouse Owner’s, Estate Agents, Lawyers, Fast Food Franchisees, Vehicle Fitment Centres, etc..
Upon entering lockdown, it felt something a little like the “Flash” running so fast that time seemed to stand still. It took me the best part of lockdown to wriggle myself out of that vacuum and realise that business would never be the same again.
I could either succumb to wishful thinking or remodel my business & marketing strategies to adapt to the “New Normal”, I chose to remodel. Albert Einstein’s telling observation is as prevalent today as it was then, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.
