Some evenings feel like a little escape from the everyday.
The 2026 Wine Fair by VINIMARK at La Rustica in Houghton, Johannesburg, was one of them. A magical atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, great music and, of course, an exceptional selection of South African wines.

Between reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new people, and discovering unexpected favourites in the glass, it was a wonderful evening celebrating the people, stories and wines that make South Africa's industry so special.

Thank you to Vinimark and everyone who joined us for a truly memorable evening.

What happens when artists choose dialogue over isolation?

Spier Arts Trust presents ‘Delete Nton’ntoni’, a new group exhibition curated by Tafadzwa Tega, including works by Lwando Dlamini, Knowledge Marongedza, Luyanda Mkhuthungu and Tafadzwa Tega. Responding to the HEAT Winter Arts festival theme, this exhibition draws on the digital command Ctrl+Z as a symbol for undoing, rethinking, and reimagining, proposing a conscious reset and a return to collective creative practice.

‘Delete Nton’ntoni’ runs from 6 August to 26 October 2026 at HUB Gallery, 25 Commercial Street, Cape Town and forms part of the 2026 HEAT Winter Arts Festival’s programme from 6 to 15 August 2026.

There’s something special about a wine tasting in a botanical garden, with Table Mountain as the backdrop and a room full of familiar faces.

We joined VINIMARK for its 2026 Cape Town Wine Fair at Moyo in Kirstenbosch Gardens, meeting new faces and, of course, making time to taste our way through an incredible selection of South African wines.

A beautiful evening celebrating the people, stories and wines that make this industry so special.

What a treat and an absolute privilege to visit the studio of Durban-based ceramicist sbu who is so generous with his time and so knowledgeable about the KZN arts scene.
He has just shown some of his incredible pieces at the KZN Art Fair at Hilton Arts Festival which was supported by Belgotex and curated by Angela Shaw - it was a joy to meet him in person after seeing his masterful pots and a tile at the fair.
We spent ages chatting and learning about his work. We have a special soft spot for his birds, whuch, he tells us, have flown all over the world...
We also learnt up close how much support artists in KZN province are needing, so hats off to KZN Art Fair and to Belgotex for lighting a fire around which many can warm their hands.

A scent, a melody, a sound … sometimes all it takes is a fleeting sensory encounter to transport us to a memory.
HUB Gallery presents ‘Revisiting’, a new solo exhibition by Zimbabwean-born artist Ronald Muchatuta Studio, combining traditional objects, hand-cut mosaic and embedded QR codes into sculptural surfaces that unlock accompanying sound compositions. The exhibition invites audiences to move beyond looking to an experience of listening, participation and discovery.
