A quick look at our camera scanning setup, a 100mm macro lens with excellent edge-to-edge sharpness, a Novafex copy stand, a Cone still CRI 95+ light box.
Valois film holder and advancer makes sure the film surface is flat at capture. Camera is operated by tether to ensure stability. We use Neg Lab Pro for ultimate precision and flexibility during the conversion from negative to positive.

Unlike traditional scanning methods where colour and density values are hard coded into the file at the scanning stage, this method allows for the 'scanner' to just record all information that is in the negative. User can then enjoy the flexibility of working with a digital RAW file, all adjustments are non-destructive and re-doable.

This is the future of film scanning
