It's been a very long time since my last post on this page.

I have been working to better myself as a designer as well as starting up my own business.

I would like to get back in the swing by posting up a project I recently worked on with 51 other artists from around the world.

It was Raeesa Jenkins brainchild to get a group of artists together to create a deck of playing cards.

Each artist got one card to design. I drew the red joker.

I was also fortunate enough to be chosen to design the back face of the cards as well. Hope you guys enjoy!

I was asked by an old college friend to create an artists version of a playing card. The brief was that I could use any style I saw fit but I had to base it on the red joker card.

Using simple fine liners and pencils I created a bold typography based illustration using the words 'The Red Joker'.
This is of course in it's early stages and will finish its journey as a fully vectored artwork to be placed on a card and inserted into a fully illustrated deck showcasing artists from all over Cape Town and the rest of South Africa.
