Shooting an icon like the Shelby GT500 "Eleanor" inside an old, dusty hangar is all about balancing motion with the right lighting. To really show off the muscle car's classic fastback lines and metallic finish, we used a low-angle rig shot combined with a long exposure. This allowed us to capture a real sense of speed, even in a completely static environment.

The main challenge was using the hangar's regular lighting to our advantage. By dragging the shutter and matching the camera's movement to the car, those overhead light sources stretched out into clean, continuous bands. This not only framed the shot beautifully but also highlighted the custom bodywork perfectly.

Ultimately, high-end automotive photography requires a deep understanding of how light interacts with specialized industrial design. Investing in this level of technical precision is what ensures your vehicle or brand portfolio commands attention on every platform.

Pulling off a complex composite shot like this takes a lot of careful planning before we even pick up the camera. For this Mitsubishi campaign, our main goal was to blend commercial car photography with environmental portraiture—telling a compelling story while keeping the product perfectly in focus.

The biggest hurdle was getting the lighting to match up. Since we were shooting different elements separately under a soft, overcast sky, we had to customize the lighting for each subject. This ensured the highlights on the car lined up naturally with the rim lighting on the people, making the final image look completely seamless and believable.

We also used a subtle geometric spiral to frame the composition. The elements in the foreground naturally guide your eyes across the water and the figures, leading you straight to the front of the vehicle.

In the end, putting this level of detail into your visual assets is what turns standard commercial photos into unforgettable brand stories. When you combine precise ex*****on with a big imagination, you get striking visuals that really stand out on any platform.

In a commercial landscape, an artist's style can easily become stagnant. Personal agency projects serve as the ultimate playground for creative longevity, providing the necessary space to test new techniques, take risks, and expand a visual vocabulary without external pressures.

"Personal work is where we discover breakthroughs. It forces us to look at a familiar subject and strip away the standard commercial tropes to find something genuinely cinematic."

Driven by this philosophy, this personal project was conceived to explore the intersection of high-fashion editorial narrative and premium automotive design, utilizing the striking lines of the Jaguar F-Type R as both a structural backdrop and a central character. Free from the constraints of a strict client brief, the primary objective was to push creative boundaries, experiment with cinematic lighting, and refine a sophisticated, moody visual palette.

The creative direction treated the models and the machine as an inseparable triad. The male subject's sharp tailoring and the female subject's classic black dress directly mirror the aggressive yet elegant DNA of the Jaguar. Rather than static "car-and-model" poses, the focus was placed on psychological tension: glances caught through windows, brooding profiles, and powerful, dominant stances.

For this series, the aesthetic focus centered on high-contrast storytelling and a premium lifestyle feel. The visual narrative alternates between rich, high-contrast black-and-white frames that emphasize form and silhouette, and warm, sun-drenched color tones. Unconventional framing—such as shooting through the vehicle's cabin, capturing distorted reflections on the glass, or using the models' silhouettes to slice the frame—was utilized to build a sense of voyeurism and mystery.

This shoot highlights why self-directed projects are essential. By treating the Jaguar F-Type R as a piece of narrative architecture rather than just a product, the shoot successfully pushed artistic boundaries and added a highly styled, cinematic edge to the portfolio.

Capturing a machine like the KTM X-Bow requires an approach that matches its raw, purposeful design. We utilized low-angled tracking shots to emphasize the vehicle's unique open-cockpit geometry and radical aerodynamic contours against the harsh structural lines of the track bridge. The dramatic contrast between the high-gloss exposed carbon fiber and the bleak, overcast sky demanded precise exposure management to retain deep textural details without clipping the highlights.

Framing the car beneath industrial architectural elements mirrors its sharp, aggressive design language. Capitalizing on natural, diffused overcast light minimized harsh reflections on the carbon panels, allowing the vibrant orange accents to cut through the monochromatic backdrop.

High-performance machinery deserves a visual narrative that does more than just look sleek. By balancing dynamic motion captures with highly detailed static profiles, we build a versatile asset library engineered to drive engagement across digital platforms and print layouts alike. Investing in this level of technical ex*****on ensures your product's engineering brilliance is immediately recognizable to a discerning audience.

Project Snapshot
Agency & Client: Seagram Pearce Media for Lexus South Africa
Project: Lexus GS 450h National Media Launch Kit
Locations: Chapman's Peak Drive & Cape Town Foreshore
Gear: Nikon Full Frame System & Nikkor Prime Lenses

The Project Story
Lexus South Africa needed an awesome media kit for the launch of their new Lexus GS 450h F Sport hybrid sedan. They wanted images that showed off both the car's eco-friendly hybrid tech and its sporty performance. They needed shots in both modern city settings and dramatic coastal landscapes.
We teamed up with Lexus to create a solid visual plan before packing a single camera, making sure everything aligned perfectly with global brand standards and avoiding any stressful logistical surprises.
To capture the car's true spirit, we used professional Nikon full-frame cameras. At the beautiful Chapman's Peak Drive lookout, we used portable lighting to make the car’s "Sonic Silver" paint pop against the cloudy sky. We also did an evening shoot on the Cape Town Foreshore, using long exposures to create sculpting highlights on the car's sleek body panels.
During editing, our digital artists cleaned up tiny paint marks and road debris. We made sure to keep the photos looking real, preserving the natural textures of the Western Cape landscape and the car's great design. With over 20 years of experience, Seagram Pearce Media loves setting the standard for high-end car photography.

Commercial fleet photography demands a rigorous balance between technical control and atmospheric storytelling. When working with massive assets like the Isuzu N-Series and FX-Series ranges, matching the structural geometry of the vehicles to the ambient light curve requires precise planning and ex*****on.

Achieving clean, edge-to-edge definitions across multiple vehicle footprints involves shooting precise plates under rapidly shifting skies. We captured individual lighting passes to ensure the unique chrome, matte, and paint finishes responded correctly without unwanted environmental bleeding.

For commercial layouts, compositions are built from the ground up with specific canvas requirements in mind. Notice the deliberate placement of negative space across the sky and foreground elements, providing the perfect canvas for clean agency copy and billboard scaling.

A commercial asset must do heavy lifting for a brand's visual identity. By meticulously planning the spatial arrangement of the fleet, we created a scalable visual asset library that functions seamlessly across digital, print, and large-format media. Every frame is engineered to convert, ensuring your production investment delivers long-term marketing value.
