“We need more leads.”
I hear this a lot.
And my response is usually: maybe.
Before spending more money trying to bring more people through the door, I want to know what happened to the people who already knocked.
How many enquiries did you receive?
How many did you quote?
How many became paying customers?
And most importantly — why didn’t the others buy?
Because if 68 people enquire, 42 ask for a quote and only 11 become customers, simply generating another 68 enquiries may not solve the problem.
There’s a gap somewhere.
Maybe it’s response time.
Maybe it’s price.
Maybe it’s the sales conversation.
Maybe the quote isn't communicating enough value.
Maybe nobody followed up.
Get curious.
Good marketing isn't just about generating more activity. It's about understanding what's happening in the business and finding the problem worth solving.
That’s where strategy starts.
