Baz-Art

Baz-Art Baz-Art is an urban art platform. We create engagement and marketing content through public art. Art speaks louder!

We showcase the positive impact of street art and public art, and commission, plan and execute mural art projects across Africa. By providing a supportive platform for artists, we build bridges between them and other members of communities such as neighborhood groups, local businesses, educational systems, or public organisations. All our projects follow 3 pillars, which reflect our key values and

principles:
Education, Artistic Eclosion and Social Inclusion

Our vision is to showcase the power of street art and its ability to transform communities and individuals on a micro and macro scale. We consider Public art to be a vital part of our public history, part of our evolving culture, and part of our collective memory. By giving a future to our artists, we also give meaning to our living spaces! Learn more about us here: https://baz-art.co.za/

If we hope together, we rise together.”

For Mandela Day this year, we turned Eagle’s Nest Christian Primary School into a canvas of unity, hope, and celebration!

Together with BAZ-ART, Breadline Africa, Capfin, and the vibrant hands of learners, teachers, and community volunteers we unveiled a brand new kitchen and brought to life a bold paint-by-numbers mural designed by local artist BLAKZ (Mernette Swartz).

At the heart of the mural?
- Five hands clasped in a circle
- Bright, joyful fruits
- The powerful words: HOPE and UBUNTU

It was more than just a painting — it was a moment of togetherness, expression, and empowerment for every child who picked up a paintbrush and every heart that showed up to serve.

Thank you to everyone who made the day unforgettable. Let’s keep using art to inspire, uplift, and transform.

What if $50 could give a child the power to dream in colour?

In South Africa, thousands of children don’t have access to creative spaces — but you can change that today.

Your donation helps us offer free daily art classes that give children a safe space to express themselves, heal, and imagine new possibilities. It’s more than art — it’s transformation.

Just $50 sponsors a month of art classes for one child.

What if art didn’t just hang on the wall — what if it moved, spoke, and told a story right before your eyes?

That’s the magic of Augmented Reality (AR) and it's transforming how we experience public art.

At Baz-Art, we’ve already begun reimagining art in this way, bringing murals in Salt River to life through AR. With just a smartphone, these artworks become immersive storytelling portals where heritage meets innovation, and walls become windows into layered narratives.

This is more than tech—it’s the future of public space, and the possibilities are endless.

Here’s a powerful, mission-driven caption to kick off your **Legacy Series** on both **Instagram and Facebook**, aligned with Baz-Art’s purpose of inclusion, transformation, and art as a voice:

---

🎨 Legacy Begins Here.
At Baz-Art, we believe that art is not just expression — it's transformation.

In every brushstroke on a public wall, there’s a story of inclusion, resilience, and possibility.
This year, we kick off our Legacy Series — a celebration of the people, places, and partners using art to shift narratives and reshape futures.

From forgotten alleys to global murals, we’re committed to making creativity accessible, giving underrepresented voices a platform, and turning shared spaces into living canvases of hope.

Because legacy isn’t what we leave behind — it’s what we build together, now.

From vibrant murals to community-driven collaborations, Baz-Art has spent the last 8 years transforming walls into voices, and streets into stories. With 831 projects and counting, we’ve used the power of street art to reimagine space, ignite conversation, and bring people together — not only in Cape Town but across the continent.

This legacy piece isn’t just a look back — it’s a bold look forward. As we move into the next chapter, placemaking remains our compass: centering people, place, and purpose in everything we do.

Here’s to art that builds bridges, and spaces that speak.
