FoxP2 takes its name from the creativity gene that has mutated in human beings over the last 50 000 years. It's the gene most singularly responsible for the advancement of mankind. And it's this ability that is summed up in our "Freedom to Mutate" philosophy. FoxP2 has a media neutral approach to brand building and doesn't differentiate between above the line, below the line, or through the line.

The only line that matters is the one that separates good and bad ideas. The solution to a client's marketing problem may be a big brand TV ad, a car in a Ziplock bag (something we've actually done), or a magic piece of bubblegum we apply to the underside of a shoe (something we're still hoping to do). These alternative solutions we call "Mutations" and they don't always fit into traditional media channels. At the heart of all the solutions lies creativity, for strategically applied creativity is the most effective marketing tool a company can employ. It's the only way we know for brands to adapt. To innovate. To thrive. After all, it's in our genes.

We’ve created SaSalutes with our client, Mediclinic. South Africans visit the platform to upload their thank you video’s to SA’s healthcare workers and as they come in, we cut them into thirty second spots that run on national tv every night so the whole country can see what’s happening in the homes and on the streets of South Africa. Big shout out to Freshlyground for bringing the feels with their brilliant track “I’d Like” and our intrepid editor Terence Orpen who continues to edit through the night as the footage comes in from all around the country You can upload your thank you videos at SaSalutes.co.za.
