In 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the tourism industry, particularly over the festive season, with the number of visiting tourists in Dec’20 decreasing to 198K (-80% YoY) and the industry’s GDP contribution decreasing from 6.9% in 2019 to 3.7% in 2020.
