Congratulations to Corne Koch, who has been appointed South African Tourism's new Chief Convention Bureau Officer. Corne will head the South African National Convention Bureau (SANCB) business unit, effective 1 December 2025.

She joins SA Tourism bringing more than 20 years of experience in tourism destination marketing and promotion across South Africa. Most recently, she served as Head of the Cape Town and Western Cape Convention Bureau at Wesgro, where she led a high-performing team responsible for positioning the Western Cape as Africa’s top business-events destination.

We've come to the end of a very eventful Travel Indaba at the Durban ICC, and Sola Media had the pleasure of creating and publishing Africa's Travel Indaba Daily Newspapers.

The Minister of Tourism, Derek Hanekom launched the official opening this year, with the final day ending off with a visit from The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
