My entry for - the brief was launching ‘millennial friendly’ health insurance from an already established clinical brand. This route changed several times during the approval process despite sticking to my guns, and ended up being a standard, clinical looking print ad. (Hence my not including their logo on these pieces). I would LOVE to work on this assignment with like-minded creatives that truly believe in the power of their creativity. And with and the @368 team as clients my brain is exploding with all the wild possibilities that could come from a life changing opportunity like this one. Holding thumbs! •

In and amongst emailing, working, invoicing, quoting and balancing expenses I’ve found great value in taking a moment to play. Working on a computer constantly can make one feel “stuck” creatively. So grab some paints or whatever else and make something weird! Happy Friday ⭐️ we made it!

And here he is. My Sleepathon partner Finnegan - last night I figured out why it took me so long to finally participate in this cause. I’ve been scared of growing attached, seeing all of the beautiful beings looking for homes and that I might be overwhelmed with emotion. For the longest time I opted for more of an out of sight, out of mind approach. Leaving Finnegan the next morning was difficult. We’d been through a lot that night, both trying to get comfortable on the dog beds, him protecting me from whatever was scuttling on the roof of the kennel and finding the best way to cuddle despite the limited bed space. But what was more difficult was going to sleep the following night in my warm bed, knowing that my dogs have a really good life and that dogs like Finnegan spend their lives just waiting for someone to see the love they want to give. I was scared of the emotions I would feel if I did something like this and I was right to, there are a lot. Regardless of a pet breed and pedigree, all animals are capable of love. If you’re looking for a cat or a dog, please please consider shelter pets first. They might not be “pure bred”, but the love you will receive from them will be worth so much more because you’ll be homing an animal that so often gets overlooked. •

We’re doing the Sleepathon this year! So super duper excited to spend time and share some love with all of the dogs and cats. Tears and all of the other animal rescue societies do such great work, caring for shelter animals and helping them find forever homes. Part of our responsibility should be caring for them too.
