BEWARE BLURRY B***S AHEAD
I'm Ronette, and I just want to bring light into other's lives and have a positive impact on those around me. I was so excited to be taking part in this project, because it's something that has been close to my heart for a while now. I think it's important for us as women to not be inclusive but rather ALL-inclusive. It breaks my heart to see other women unhappy with themselves, see them compare themselves to others, and not and realise what they bring to the table.
While I know I might represent some beauty standards that society is trying to tear down - that alone shouldn't exclude me, and others like me from the movement. I too have flaws and insecurities just like anyone else, even though others tend to find that ridiculous and immediately invalidate them - I am still human, I am still a woman and I still feel the effects of them just like you. We were all born into a society that taught us to compare and compete from a young age.
Look at us, we are even comparing the severity of our insecurities and often don't realise we're making someone else feel worse for having theirs in the first place by doing so. Instead, we should include everyone, not exclude anyone. We should uplift, not shun or shame. We should understand, not invalidate. Compassion, not competition. There is so much more to us as women, than just what we look like. Inner beauty will always shine through to outer beauty. I'm Ronette, and I'd love for women to truly be united β€οΈ
