Y-design is a Cape Town based graphic design and illustration studio that specialises in print, illustration and multimedia design, this includes logo, brochure, web design and development, and more. At the moment the studio is still a one-lady show, but I outsource work to other partner designers and developers if needed on bigger projects. Just an intro to myself. I studied BA Applied Graphics in Fine Arts at the University of Stellenbosch graduating in 2004, followed by a Multimedia course at City Varsity and receiving my Multimedia diploma in 2006. My work experience: Job shadowing at the Jupiter Drawing Room, 2 years experience at a Cape Town advertising company Brainstorm advertising in charge of many brands, 2 years full time freelancing experience and 2 years experience in the corporate field at then RMB Unit Trusts, now Momentum Investments and Momentum Asset Management managing 1 big brand with sub brands. As you might notice I have a good blend of experience to manage your brand and marketing.

** Latest logo design. **

My latest logo design is for a company that supplies reflective and light powered sports apparel. It acts as a safety measure to stay visible while performing your outdoor sport. In the logo we created 3 blocks, 1 for each of the main groups of sport they focus on with little figures inside each block performing the sport. I then made use of little geometrical shapes to portray the feeling of reflectivity. The SPD abbreviation is the short for the main company name 'South Peninsula Distributors'.

Logo design for a bespoke consulting company that focus on eco friendly and security solutions.
The Ensō sign used in the logo symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, the universe. Enlightenment means “awareness that brings change”.
