Give your product’s design the necessary attention to make sure your users love it, and continue using it. If you let your cousin’s-friend’s-roommate design it, you’ll probably end up paying for it twice.

Stage Zero is a solar and UPS provider that makes affordable, understandable energy alternatives available without an upfront capital investment.

Our big UX/UI challenge was to make solar and backup systems easy to purchase online, without having to be tech savvy or an energy expert. The result is an end-to-end experience for users to understand their energy needs, order online and manage their power.

The first customer touchpoint is the e-commerce website, featured in this post.

When Lula (previously Lulalend) approached us for a fresh new website, the brief was simple: Design a site for an SME bank, that looks nothing like a bank. We needed to create an easy-to-use, energetic and deeply human site that also instills trust.

Our solution was a simple UX combined with a bold, engaging UI that ignites feelings of connection. We found inspiration in the angles of Lula's new logo, and used the diagonal lines to represent the relationship between Lula and their customers.

A big thank you to our passionate fintech client for the opportunity to create a site that celebrates entrepreneurs, and the positive impact Lula is making in the South African SME landscape. ✈

Everything.Insure wanted to give their users a single place to go to for any assistance they might need in an emergency. In these situations, time is of the essence, so simplicity and speed were absolutely critical in the design-thinking.

When a user clicks for help, they have access to all the assistance available through their insurance policies on one screen. They can multi-select the services they need, share their location and track the status of their request. The pin code ensures the user is accepting help from the right providers arriving on scene, and the code is linked to the associated claim when the time comes.

Clients often come to us with a "drop-off" problem, but what they actually have is a user boredom or attention problem. We see this a lot with long on-boarding flows, which can often be solved by weaving in narrative and personality, making it intriguing for the user.

As we become increasingly numb, brands and products that tell more interesting stories, show more transparency and are more "human" will ultimately gain more trust and real users.
