In 2022, Melisa Raouf made history at Miss England by competing without makeup.

The 20-year-old student said her decision was about confidence and showing that beauty should not depend on meeting unrealistic expectations.

Her choice sparked conversations around self-image, authenticity, and the idea that women should feel free to present themselves however they choose.

Sometimes the boldest statement is simply showing up as yourself.

Today I am jealous that the angels get to celebrate your 40th birthday (your 14th birthday in heaven) instead of us spending time together and talk about how we have grown through the different stages of life (marriage, children, career changes etc.)

They say "it gets better over time", but that is a lie.
The only thing that gets better is to control expressing the combination of feelings appearing from time to time.
