While I have generally kept my various projects separate from each other here is a shameless plug for my another 'typesetting' type of business that is also available for purchase.

You can check out the link below. This is a mail-order business that has brought in a fair revenue with just web store and no other advertising (I did take up R100 per month with Google ad-words but this did not amount to much).

Please feel totally free to SHARE this post in case one of your other friends is looking for a side-line or part time business. It takes perhaps 2-4 hours per week any time and requires very little space for just a table top machine, a few boxes of stock and your regular internet PC and printer.

I hope the link below is working but not sure just yet as it has so few likes yet. You can go and visit the web shop as well if you like at www.dogtags.co.za

I hope to get the scrap metal processor to clear out remaining stuff at Calrose at the end of this month (February).

I suppose it was fun while it lasted.

For those who have no idea what I am talking about there is a list with some stuff for sale that may be of interest to Letterpress fans and other technophiles, some household stuff on the list as well.

If you like Letterpress THEN PLEASE SHARE THIS POST NOW. The link below goes to the growing list of items for sale. Other NON-letterpress stuff as well, some very interesting.

Last attempts to find homes for some of the Letterpress gear, scrap dealer will visit in the new year and then the chance is gone.

The Vandercook is waiting for travel plans but looks like it is going to Australia with USA customer on waiting list.

SHARE one of the lists on Calrose Typesetters or unLIKE this page.

I have had quite a lot of good interest from my adverts on Briar Press and the local JunkMail classified. Looks like I will have to abandon my attempts at getting people on FB to SHARE posts and just ignore the process. I feel sorry for all the people who would like to keep informed but do not realise that FB will sideline them unless they take the effort to SHARE posts.

I just do not understand the reluctance of people to SHARE posts, the amount of meaningless memese I have seen shared makes my head swim but trying to promote a craft/hobby that is in desperate need seems to be a taboo subject.

The wierdest thing is that nobody even tells me I am nagging or that I should get a life or anything, it is like posts are not going out or if they are there is a conspiracy to drive me mad by systematically ignoring anything I say.

I have decided to NOT post any more items for same here unless I get some feedback. (SHARES of some of the other lists that is)

The wood type and hand set ornaments are going to get sold without all you lame folk even having heard about it.

SHARE ALERT.

I have been waiting for a few shares to see if I must post more interesting lists of items for sale but people are so bone idle I might as well scrap all the type and make a braai with the wood type. If you have an interest in Letterpress printing (especially in South Africa) you are obliged to share posts on this page. I am not going to be nice if (almost) nobody is nice in return.

A single post in an international classified and in one day there are already two people who have expressed interest inthe Vandercook cylinder proof press compare that to passing interest from two locals over 8 months.

SHARE (the posts that interest you, scroll down and take the time to read a few, be sociable or just UNLIKE this page) so you and your friends will see more of these posts, I am FED UP with talking to myself.

A few pictures that I took recently. These show the Vandercook and the low mileage Monotype going into short term storage. The person who purchased the 500ton vulcanising press offered to share the crane and riggers so I saved a bit in getting the stuff down from the first floor. They are now in Germiston.

Another list of goodies. Same instructions as before. Thank you for all the likes and comments.

A never (not kidding here at all) to be repeated collection of Letterpress equipment going on sale in South Africa (procrastinators remorse may be debilitating).

It looks like there may never be a public studio in Johannesburg to visit and go and play so you need to get your own gear now.

Here is the first list (at least 2 more to follow depending on my stamina and your interest). Remember time is of the essence as someone else may offer the buy it now price before you have finished reading the list. If you have shared this list or the announcement below make a note of it in your offer for special treatment. I do apologise for sending text as an image but I can see no other way to format it on FaceBook, I can make the lists available in PDF if there is a demand. Bulk buyers can expect better treatment as well. Remember offers to be in messages or email, posting on the wall is optional.

Calrose Typesetters is no longer holding out for a institutional or studio buyer of the assets and it is liquidizing. Shortly a list/s will be posted of all the assets that are being disposed of with a reserve price (usually just a bit more than the scrap metal/salvage value) and a buy it now price. You can make offers anywhere in between and after a bit the items will be awarded. If you have shared this post or the subsequent list/s on your own time line your offers will be looked at favourably even if they have not reached the buy it now price of is similar offers exist, please mention if you have shared this post in your offer, all offers must be made in a private message on the Calrose page or to the Calrose email address. You are welcome to ALSO post your offers on the Calrose page wall if you want to intimidate others from making offers on items you desire if you think it will help and to stake your claim. The items are available for pickup in Doornfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa at set times (accommodating as many as possible) to be announced.

You are one of the fortunate ones to see this particular post.
VERY IMPORTANT, unless you like/post/share posts and the page Facebook will not automatically show you the next one, they use closed algorithms to decide what you will be interested in based on what you have shown and interest in previously and nobody sees all the posts unless they visit the page periodically. You can check out the history on the page to judge how many posts you never saw before.
