About 10 years ago, our AXE clients at the time, and gifted us a 25kg, hand-carved and ridiculously awesome Gorilla. It instantly became one of our most treasured possessions. This year, they followed it up by trusting us with one of their most treasured possessions, ! We could not be prouder, or happier. Get ready for fresh.

Our Jungle Conductor, Michelle Mc Ewan, didn’t write, approve, or even see this post. It’s not because she is too busy; being the Managing Director of our crazy Gorilla Jungle, AND the mom of two Vikings, AND an active industry advocate. Nope. It’s because she doesn’t have easily accessible logins to our social platforms, nor the time to find them 🙂 That is a good thing - because now we get the chance to say how proud we are of the wonderful keynote address she gave at the recent Vega School | Durban, Class of 2022 graduation; and of the Girlrilla program she has developed in partnership with the inspiring faculty at Vega. Michelle vehemently believes that the South African creative industry needs more strong, intelligent, kind, diverse and fierce women’s voices. And, as a Jungle lucky enough to have a Michelle, we couldn’t agree more.

This photo was taking 3 years ago, almost to the day, when Gorilla VIP was preparing for his first Comrades. A global pandemic may have delayed his debut but with all the extra time to train, we know he’s in for an awesome race on Sunday! Good luck Deano, the Jungle will be cheering for you!
