Sometimes a great idea looks better on paper than it does in real life.

We originally experimented with a Zulu-inspired speed pattern, but once you drove past it, the design blurred together and lost its impact. So, we went back to the drawing board.

Inspired by the flowing organic murals and bold fashion graphics of the 1960s, we created something new: Wave Durban Wave.

It's more than just a mural. It's a small reminder that while we're all busy looking down at our phones, there's still a world happening around us. Look up. Look out the window. Wave at someone. Smile. You might just make a new friend.

A quiet moment in the middle of the city.

“Sunday Service” is a reverse graffiti mural created using nothing but a stencil, steel brush, time, and patience. A flock of birds rises across a weathered concrete wall beside a church, simple, raw, and temporary. No paint. No shortcuts. Just cleaning away years of dirt to reveal the artwork underneath.

This piece is about movement, freedom, reflection, and how public spaces can become open-air galleries for everyone passing through. The beauty of reverse graffiti is that it slowly disappears back into the environment over time, making every piece temporary and alive in its own way.

Dirty today. Artwork tomorrow.

Have you herd?

This 60m long reverse graffiti mural carries a deeper story than what you see at first glance. The 12 elephants on the wall are symbolic of Durban’s natural past, representing the herds that once moved through the area more than 150 years ago.

Long before the city grew around these spaces, parts of Durban and the Berea were still wild, with elephants recorded as part of the landscape. The mural brings that history back into view, not by adding paint, but by removing dirt, revealing art through the surface itself.

Using steel brush, stencil work, and patience, The Shaddow Herd turns a tired wall into a quiet reminder of what once was.

From dirty today… to art tomorrow.
