We are stoked to be working with the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival team on the 13th edition of the European Film Festival, happening from 17–27 September 2026.

This year, we are taking things a step further and are excited to announce that we will be hosting the festival’s Durban screenings at our venue The Courtyard at New Noise, so keep an eye out for updates!

The creative brief this year was to build on the 2025 festival design. The team wanted to stick with the “Modern Pop(corn)” concept, updating the graphic style to incorporate elements inspired by travel, postcards, passports, and cinema, and referencing a more modern early-2000s DV camera.

This 6-year-old partnership with the European Film Festival - South Africa means a lot to us. It has allowed us to consistently build an identity for an intercontinental cultural event, grow its recognition and visibility, and expand local audience viewership.

We kicked off this year with a special project for EThekwini Municipality, in collaboration with C40 Cities.

The brief was to develop a refreshed series of visuals promoting sustainable waste management in the city. This included signage for all the garden and landfill sites located around Ethekwini, branding a portion of the City’s massive DSW fleet, and producing a series of educational brochures.

Sustainability matters deeply to New Noise and our directors, so this was a dream project as we had the opportunity to make a positive impact on our beautiful City, its people and its environment.

When the Moon Tide Collective approached us, they were looking for a refreshed visual identity that could carry the weight and power of their mission as a feminist agency that conspires with courageous organisations, networks and coalitions using tech as a conduit of liberation.

We did this by honouring and modernising the Fawohodie symbol, a core philosophical pillar of their work.

This new monthly collective initiative celebrates Durban’s Point Waterfront as a vibrant, creative, and cultural hub.

The event brings together local businesses, artists, designers, musicians, makers, and creatives to activate the precinct through open studios, exhibitions, markets, live music, and collaborative cultural experiences.

Point Fridays aims to establish a dynamic social gathering space that encourages connection, collaboration, and community, while celebrating Durban’s creative energy and the evolving identity of the Point Waterfront precinct.

Settling into our new home has been a dream, and it’s about to get even better. Our new neighbours, , are officially launching their space with a powerful group exhibition, and we’re opening our doors alongside them.

To celebrate, our courtyard event space comes alive for the first time with live music and good vibes. Come through, hang out, meet the community, and experience the energy that’s building in this part of Durban with us.

Fast forward to today, and it’s only fitting that we celebrate his 3rd work anniversary just as we’ve settled into our brand-new home at the Point Waterfront.
