If you want to impress someone, personalise their gift! The saying ‘it’s the thought that counts’ certainly applies when it comes to gift giving.

Although in reality it often takes little – if any - more time and effort, it shows the gift receiver you have put thought and care into your choice of gift. It shows that you have paid attention to something that matters to them – be it their favourite colour, or favourite phrase – and that you went the extra mile to create something uniquely theirs.

A little back story as to how this business started....

Every year I would create a calendar for my mom. She loves a good calendar and what a bonus to have it double up showcasing new memories each month of her grandkids (occasionally I would throw in some of her kids too ;) )

These became such a hit and an expectation each year. I decided to share a post on my local Facebook group and the post went crazy with requests. I quickly created a page, bought a domain and set myself up for my side hustle. This was all of 7 years ago and each year, even before I can get my posts together, I receive mails from regular clients checking in if they on offer again.

It’s such fun to see the photos of their kids growing up each year and honestly, it brings so much joy at how thrilled they are and get to enjoy these all year round.

Anyone else have a side hustle?

These magnetic calendars are by far, my most used and favourite product to date. If you dont have one of these bad boys, do yourself a favour - get one! They are available in weekly or monthly views.

I use my weekly view to plan out all my meals for the month and monthly to whiteboard in play dates, social activities and note my weekly shopping list.

Celebrating birthdays are, in my view, an opportunity. An opportunity to say something nice about someone, or buy them a thoughtful gift, call them to reconnect and have a quick chat. It’s an opportunity to make someones day, extra special. I always like to take a quick moment and think of something “extra” to say about that person you wishing, whether it be a colleague, friend or family member - it goes such a long way, costs you nothing and is so appreciated.
