Hundreds of displaced Malawian nationals, including pregnant women and young children, are sheltering outside Sherwood Hall after allegedly being threatened and forced to flee their homes in the Burnwood informal settlement.

Humanitarian organisations have stepped in to provide food, water, nappies and blankets while repatriation efforts are being coordinated by the Malawian Embassy. Among those waiting is nine-months-pregnant Jane Moses, who hopes to return home before giving birth.
