2014 - I received Student Vote for Best Graphic Design Student (1st Year), Oakfields College.
What made that award special wasn’t just the recognition… it was who voted.
My peers.
People who watched the late nights, the sketchbooks, the failed concepts, the redraws, the obsession with getting ideas right - long before shortcuts existed.
My foundation in design was built on pure creativity.
No AI.
No Canva templates.
No automation.
Just ideas, craft, problem-solving, and learning how to communicate visually from scratch.
Fast forward 12 years…
The creative industry has changed - dramatically.
And here’s the truth: many creatives are still wrestling with:
Adapting doesn’t erase authenticity.
AI doesn’t replace creativity.
It amplifies it.
The world of creativity and innovation is evolving, and refusing new tools doesn’t protect creativity - it limits it.
My skills as a creative were never AI-generated.
They were developed through years of design thinking, experience, mistakes, and growth.
But today?
AI is simply another tool in the arsenal - like Photoshop was, like tablets were, like digital design itself once was.
The difference has never been the tool.
The difference is the creativity behind it.
I believe the future belongs to creatives who can do both:
🎨 Think originally without tools
⚡ Execute faster with them
Old-school foundation.
Modern innovation.
Human creativity - enhanced, not replaced.
