A plea to all members in our community. KZN Community Assist and Disaster Management (Registered Non Profit Company) is currently assisting one of the members in,out Community a young caring and loving mother of 2 well mannered kids. The member has been in very abusive relationship. She has recently been kicked out with nothing but 2 small plastic bags of belongings. Basically her clothes on her back. We can verify there is no drugs involved and.the.case is genuine. She has recently started a nee job, and has been getting problems from her company for not having the correct clothing for work (employed as a PA) despite them knowing her position. He 8 year old son has been to 3 eye specialists and has complete loss of central vision where there is currently no cure (all supporting medical documents available). We have taken photos of living conditions which is not good (badly broken bed sagging with damage spring Base and very light duty foam mattress designed forr a 3-5 year old), (couch broken springs, badly stained and damaged). Items needed is basically all household items from linen, curtains, kitchen wear, wardrobe, cupboards, side tables, carpet, cleaning materials, food, dish rack for drying dishes, clothing size 38 preferably or 40 (with belt), shoes size 5: formal shoes such as pumps would work black in colour. A plea for someone to assist if they can donate a second hand / working 74 cm TV for her son to watch. Plea is not for the mom but for the 8 year old son with thus rapid degenerative eyesight that has already lost all central vision. ( to get an understanding of central vision loss take your hand, make a first, place the thumb and fist up against your eyes leaving just a little light shining through and try and see with what vision is left. Both Patrick and I have personally asked members who approached us if we required and donations to assist community from the recent flooding, sadly nothing has come forth. The member gets paid on the 28th of this month and in desperate need for assistance of money for public transport to Morningside else she will loose her job and end up on the streets with nowhere to stay.,her 13 year daughter and 8 year old son desperately want to stay by the mom due to the abuse, but can't due to living conditions.
