Spending a lot of time on Meta lately… so I couldn’t ignore these two updates for the Meta Ads Managers 👀
Here’s what’s changing:
1️⃣ New “location fee” on ad spend:
From July 2026, Meta will add a 2–5% surcharge depending on where your audience is (not your business).
2️⃣ Goodbye detailed targeting (slowly):
Meta is pushing harder toward AI-led targeting.
You describe your audience. Meta finds them.
What this actually means:
👉 Costs are creeping up
👉 Strategy matters more than ever
👉 Your funnel (landing pages, follow-ups, creative) can’t be average anymore
Meta keeps moving the goalposts…
So the brands that win will be the ones who adapt fastest.
