Monte Vista Plattekloof Glen Neighbourhood Watch Contact nr.: 072 149 8715 [email protected]
Email or Whatsapp only please. WHO ARE WE? We make ourselves visible by actively patrolling our area (i.e.

We are a group of concerned residents who volunteer our services to fight rising crime in our community. walking, jogging, cycling or driving a vehicle - even taking our dogs for a walk). Our vehicle patrols are visible with white roof lights and reflective MVNHW magnets. Patrolling members wear high visibility jackets, and carry official neighbourhood watch identity cards. The aim of patrols is t

o keep an eye out for anything unusual or suspicious and report these to the relevant authorities - we are the eyes and ears of the community. We fall under the Goodwood Community Police Forum, accredited with the Department of Community Safety, and work in partnership with Goodwood SAPS. We are the only officially recognised accredited Neighbourhood Watch within the Monte Vista and Plattekloof Glen area. We invite any street watch / whatsapp group in the area to link up with us. WHAT IS OUR AIM? We aim to:
- make ourselves visible by various means of active patrols sending out a signal to criminals that we are alert and watching, and

- assist and network with SAPS, Law enforcement and any local private security companies in fighting rising crime in our community. HOW YOU CAN HELP? Volunteer your services! Help us patrol our areas at your convenience - walking, jogging, cycling or driving a vehicle - even taking your dog for a walk. and/or, offer your skills to perform other functions e.g. admin or marketing etc. WHAT ARE THE COSTS? Membership is free and volunteers are kept abreast and up to date about issues concerning crime in the area. Free training is also provided.

Ravensmead SAPS contacted the MVPG NHW to support them with sports equipment for their Youth Sports Programme which is held at primary schools in their area on Wednesday afternoons.

Thank you to the Community members of Monte Vista and Plattekloof Glen and Bidders Choice for donating sporting equipment to make Ravensmead SAPS' task easier to do this for the youth of Ravensmead.

Your support is highly appreciated!

🚰 Last week’s water use: 920 MLD, more than our 860MLD winter limit.
Let’s be water wise to keep limited supply, every drop counts!
