GERINGER STREET MARKET – 7th March 🌞🚴♂️🏃♀️
The morning started off like no other. At 5AM, while the streets were still quiet and the roads were wet from the night’s rain, our dedicated cyclists gathered and hit the road with determination, pushing through the early clouds and cool air. Their energy and commitment set the tone for a day that would be filled with community spirit and purpose. 🚴♂️
As 8AM arrived, the community came together for the U CAN Fun Run/Walk, where every participant brought along a can of food to support those in need. Runners and walkers of all ages took to the streets, proving that when a community comes together, even the smallest contribution can make a big difference. 🥫❤️
After crossing the finish line, our runners, walkers, and the wider Witbank community swapped their running shoes for shopping shoes and made their way down Geringer Street. With open wallets and big smiles, locals supported the many small businesses and charity stands, showing once again how powerful it is when we choose to support local. 🛍️
The kids had plenty of excitement too! The K9 Dog Show stole many hearts as our clever four-legged friends showed off their amazing skills — from racing through tunnels to sniffing out hidden objects. Smart, talented, and absolutely adorable — the perfect combination! 🐕✨
Laughter also filled the street during the puppet show, where children gathered wide-eyed and giggling. Their laughter echoed down the street — the kind of joyful sound that reminds every adult just how special community moments like these are. 🎭😊
What started as an early morning under dark clouds, with cyclists and runners on the road for a good cause, turned into a beautiful sunny day filled with local support, smiling faces, and a community that truly stands together as one.
Thank you to everyone who participated, supported local businesses, donated to a good cause, and helped make the Geringer Street Market such a memorable day. 💛
