Rejected by dozens of employers.

And yet he went on to build one of the world’s biggest companies.

Before becoming a billionaire entrepreneur, Jack Ma couldn’t seem to catch a break.

After graduating from university, he applied for around 30 jobs and was turned down every time.

One rejection became legendary.

When KFC opened in China, 24 people applied for jobs.

🍗 23 were hired.
❌ 1 was rejected.

That one person was Jack Ma.

It didn’t end there.

When he applied for a police job, four out of five candidates were accepted.

Once again, he was the only one rejected.

He even applied to Harvard University multiple times and was rejected every single time.

Most people would have stopped trying.

Instead, Ma took a teaching job earning just a small monthly salary and kept looking for opportunities.

Then, in 1999, he invited 17 friends to his apartment and pitched an idea for an internet company.

That company became Alibaba.

Today, the man who couldn’t get hired by KFC is known around the world as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in history.
