WHICH PHASE IS YOUR BUSINESS IN?
Every business can be put into a specific "phase" of growth. Some phases are optimal, some phases are destructive.. Which phase is your business in?
• 1st PHASE : THE CREATIVE PHASE
This is where the idea of the business is still new, fresh and innovative! This is where you see new avenues of revenue, you see opportunities everywhere, you believe in your product and in how it helps your clients! So you start to build it, websites, design look and feel, brichures, sales growth funnels etc,..
This is the most important phase, the phase that gives you a “buzz”, keeps you on your toes and has you excited to come in and build your business!
• 2nd PHASE :THE MANAGEMENT PHASE
You’ve made it, you have a consistent income and a supposed… system that works! It's chaotic and exciting but it needs some form of management structure.
Soon enough, you find yourself coming in to work every single day and doing the same thing... managing! Management by definition is a static process and does not create new business, as it's designed to manage the process. When in management and no longer in the creative, your business starts to stagnate. It's generally something one does not notice but over time,.. things start to slow down,. this then leads you to the ....
• 3rd PHASE :THE DISLIKE PHASE
Sure, it’s a couple of years down the line and you are becoming a bit frazzled and frayed at the end – you only seem to come in every day to put out fires!
Having worked at the same business for years on end and not innovating, your business seems to have fallen by the wayside, where your competitors are undercutting you and stealing your market share! What’s going on!? So you start to "dislike" the business...
• 4th PHASE : THE DIVORCE PHASE
It’s been tough going. The economy HAS changed and your few clients don’t seem so eager to go along with your business! Sure enough, after disliking your business for years, only using it as way to “get by” and slowly seeing why it sounds like a good idea to drop this whole “entrepreneur” thing and think of getting a job…
In other words, you are at the end of the line and if you go through a bad month, it’s ALL over!
Often, I find that business owners come to my business growth seminars while they are in the “Divorce phase”, a time where they are ready to QUIT and give it ALL up!
It is at this point that you find yourself looking for SOME miracle to fix your business!
So how do you fix this kind of predicament?
Simple...
One thing to keep in mind is that the “MANAGEMENT, DISLIKE and DIVORCE” phase often hampers or KILLS your business so the only remedy is to get back into the CREATIVE phase to get that fresh boost, new clients and exciting new platforms to build your business on...
So how do you fix this?
How?
Here are three things you have to do!
• CHANGE YOUR MINDSET
You have been stuck in a rut for ages. Stuck and probably think that working harder will get you out of it!
Wrong! Your mind has been worked to be stuck in the management side of things for YEARS! Understand the fact that you need to change your mindset drastically in order to see real change needed in your business! When last have you changed your mindset about something?
• GET HELP
Whether it be from a book, an experienced business coach or both (definitely both), or a seminar...
You need help if you are stuck in the bottom three phases! Often enough, by being in the latter three, you get inclined to want to get rid of your business, assuming that you have no chance of making money in that business!
An experienced business coach could see the gold in your goldmine, and using their experience, provide detailed blueprints on how you can achieve greater success in your business! When last have you read a book on business, or got professional coaching, watched training videos, attended a seminar to learn more to improve your business?
• IMPLEMENT CHANGE
Learning new things is useless without you taking actual action in your business! And when I say taking action, I don’t mean trying a solution and not getting the results you want – I mean implementing a proper, resolute action and seeing the outcome through!
This could include hiring somebody to do the management things you AREN'T good at or setting permanent system changes that LAST!
When was the last time you took real action to change something for the better in your business?
You are in any one of the four phases.
Most businesses don’t know which phase they are in and it is costing them their businesses and livelihoods!
So, which phase are you in?
