It is suitable for students seeking employment in the following areas: as camera operators, photo-journalist, video and photo editors, advertising specialists, communication officers, spokesperson, personal assistance, and journalist.

Media studies have taught me lots of things , coming from a disadvantaged high school with lack of resources I did not know how to use computer let alone its components with the help of my lectures that has changed.
I have learned how to use camera and also how to take different shots.
Media studies also teach about life in general.
There is also HIV Literacy where you can learn about HIV AND AIDS.
It was very difficult for me to stand in front of class and to socialize but I can now make friends and chat with anyone.

Media studies acceptance criteria.

If you are willing to do Media studies at the University of Zululand, you must have 24 points in your matric certificate, passed with Bachelor or Diploma and your English must be 50 and above which is level 4.
