Following on from Joburg’s Creator Lab, last Friday we brought the Lab to Cape Town for another day of honest conversations, practical insights and industry know-how.

Creators got to hear directly from some of the original voices in South African content creation about their journeys, what they’ve learnt along the way and how to keep growing in an ever-changing landscape.

We also heard from brands and agencies about what they look for, and value when working with creators.

And because the business of being a creator goes beyond the content, we got into the less glamorous (but very important) stuff too. From the legal side of the creator economy to how to avoid an expensive surprise from SARS.

A huge thank you to all our speakers for sharing their time, knowledge and expertise, and to every creator who came ready to listen, learn and ask the questions that matter.

The Content Creator Awards Johannesburg Creator Lab brought creators together for a day of honest conversations, practical insights and lessons from the people shaping the creator economy.

From tax, AI and YouTube, to building a personal brand, working with agencies and brands, understanding your legal rights and turning creative skills into a sustainable business, the day was jam packed and all about giving creators the tools to professionalise their craft and build careers with intention.
