Providing valuable content to future customers of yours helps them favorably remember your brand and thus think of you first when it comes time to buy.

With our customers' lives becoming increasingly busier and busier, they forget to enjoy the benefits of a service or product and thus rely on their own temperament and decision making to repurchase from our business or from someone else.

If a hair dresser knew that you wouldn't look as professional, feel as good and confident as you should if you didn't cut or trim your hair every 2 weeks; not informing you of the benefits and inherent drop-off in level of living would be a dis-service to you as a customer.

Systematically making your customers aware of the benefits they can enjoy and drop-offs they will encounter by not re-purchasing would be enough to convince a portion of your customers to re-engage with your business more often, again, increasing revenue without increasing your expenses.

This brings us to the importance of gathering your customer's email address and phone number if you can provide them with consistent value.

If you can deliver valuable information and discounts to your loyal customers on a regular basis, they will appreciate and like receiving communications from you. The truth is, most companies don't have systems in place that offer their customers all the services and products that could benefit them, every time they interact with the business.

Imagine a car wash service. All customers could benefit from a polish once a month, yet a large majority may never ask for that service, nor has anyone from that company tried to display the benefits the customer could receive by purchasing that service.

Simply training all staff members to be aware of the benefits and offering that service systematically to all customers will increase revenue by 15% annually without increasing the cost of running that business.

With online businesses and email there are easier ways of implementing this such as automated customer journeys with the use of funnels, etc., but the premise remains the same.

The way you can acquire the people that are ready to do business with you right now would be to give valuable information to someone trying to make a purchasing decision, in a form of communication such as, a report

If, for example, someone were about to buy a car and they came across a free report that shows "The Top 5 Mistakes People Make When Buying A Car", they are very likely to want that report.

You can deliver them this report via your website or social media advertising or any other way you can think of.

Contact them with a special offer after you get their contact information, or have a conversation about their needs as a buyer. Either way, you now have a prospect in your business that is likely to be making a purchase decision in the near future.

Once you have their contact information, try give them as much value as you can through emails, conversations and articles / reports. The more information and value that you can provide moves you into the position of an expert in the prospects mind. And an expert that has the buyers best interests at heart, is the one that can provide the most value.
