Looking for a full time video editor in Joburg.
We're Yip Digital, a content agency running always-on video retainers for some of South Africa’s largest brands. Think short-form reels, talking-to-camera content, and some bigger documentary style production pieces.
What we need:
- Strong storytelling instincts. You can find the cut in messy footage.
- Innovative and modern editing styles
- Fast turnaround on social edits (24-48hr for standard cutdowns).
- Comfortable taking a script or rough direction and running with it.
- Premiere/FCPX or Resolve
- Based in Joburg or able to work tight async with our team here.
What we're not looking for:
- Template-heavy editors who lean on presets and stock transitions.
- Anyone who needs every shot spoon-fed.
How this works:
We'll shortlist from showreels, then run a paid trial edit on a real project before committing to ongoing work. If it clicks, there's consistent retainer work waiting.
