What has actually had the greatest influence on the growth of your business?

It's an interesting question, because when we talk about marketing, we tend to think about the obvious things: advertising, social media, websites, Google Ads and the content we create.

But what about the client who recommends you to someone else? The relationship you've built through networking? The proposal you followed up on? The employee who creates an exceptional experience for a customer? Or the supplier or strategic partner who introduces you to your next opportunity?

We often don't call those things marketing. Yet they all influence how a business is perceived, talked about, trusted and ultimately chosen.

Our latest blog explores a broader way of thinking about marketing: not simply as something a business communicates, but something it does through hundreds of small interactions, relationships and activities over time.

We'd love to hear your experience.

Has advertising had the greatest influence on your business growth? Relationships? Referrals? Your team? Or something else entirely?

Over the years, we've had the privilege of working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, across different industries, markets and challenges. Yet despite those differences, one observation keeps resurfacing.

We'll often ask a simple question:

"So... what exactly do you do?"

It sounds like an easy question to answer. But more often than not, businesses are so close to what they do that they explain it using industry terminology, internal language or the way they've always described themselves.

To them, it makes perfect sense.

To everyone else... well, it may as well be Klingon.

It got us thinking.

How often do we assume people understand our business simply because we do?

That question became the inspiration for our latest blog, where we explore why clarity isn't simply a branding exercise. It's about uncovering the unique essence of your business and making it easy for people to understand, remember and talk about.

If someone met one of your customers tomorrow and asked, "What exactly does that business do?", what do you think they'd say?

You might be surprised by the answer.

A logo is rarely where a brand journey begins, but it can become a powerful symbol of where it's going.
When we first started working with Lamberti Physiotherapy, our brief wasn't to redesign a logo.
It was to help build a stronger brand.
To uncover what makes the practice different, to tell more human stories, create meaningful connections with patients and importantly celebrate an incredible team and bring "The Lamberti Way" to life.
Explorig the brand together, something became clear.
The business had evolved.
The quality of care, the philosophy and the patient experience had all grown, but the visual identity no longer reflected the practice Lamberti had become.
That realisation led us to today's launch.
The new identity isn't simply a new logo. It's a symbol of movement, balance and progress designed to reflect a practice that places people at the centre of everything it does. Every element was created intentionally, ensuring the brand feels as thoughtful, considered and professional as the care patients experience every day.
We are incredibly proud to have been trusted with this next chapter and even more excited because this isn't the end of the journey.
It's just the beginning.
Over the coming months we will continue to work alongside the Lamberti team to tell their stories, strengthen their brand and create an experience that is as remarkable as the people behind it.
Thank you, Fiona and the entire Lamberti team, for trusting us with your brand Lamberti Physiotherapy

This is not a new story.
A business boosts a few posts, runs some Google Ads or invests in a digital campaign, waits for the enquiries to pour in and when they don't, the conclusion is simple:
"Advertising doesn't work."
The reality is usually very different.
Advertising does work, just not in the way that people expect(or want). It can put your business in front of the right people, but it cannot instantly create trust, credibility or preference. Those things are built over time.
Through the stories you tell. The value you share. The consistency of your message. The experience people have when they visit your website, follow your social media or interact with your team.

Too often, businesses move from agency to agency believing "the last one didn't work", or they stop investing in marketing altogether because they expected one campaign to transform their business overnight.

The businesses that grow consistently understand that marketing isn't about finding one magic tactic, It is about showing up consistently, building recognition, earning trust and making it easy for customers to choose you when they are ready.
Advertising can absolutely accelerate growth.

But only when it's part of a bigger story.

Marketing isn't measured by what happens the day your advert goes live.

It is measured by what happens when your customer is finally ready to buy and your business is the one they remember.
Time for businesses to think of marketing as part of their business strategy and consider long term objectives and partnerships.

"We just need a logo."

It's something we hear often.

But a logo is rarely just a logo.

Long before someone experiences your product, speaks to your team, or becomes a customer, they'll likely encounter your logo first.

And in that moment, they start forming opinions about your business.

A great logo won't replace a strong strategy, exceptional service, or a compelling brand story.

But it can create recognition.
Build familiarity.
And help people remember you when it matters most.

In our latest blog, we explore why logos matter more than many businesses realise and how they influence trust, perception, and brand recognition.

What do you think?

Can a logo influence whether you trust a business?

Most people still think of video as a marketing tool.

We think it's become something much bigger.

Today, businesses are using video to:

Build trust
Explain complex ideas
Showcase expertise
Strengthen culture
Support recruitment
Create meaningful connection

At the same time, AI is making video creation more accessible than ever.

But as more content becomes automated, something interesting is happening.

Authenticity is becoming more valuable.

People don't connect with perfect.

They connect with people.

In our latest blog, we explore why video has become one of the most powerful business tools available today and why human-centred storytelling still matters in an AI-driven world.

What's your take?

Do you think authentic video content will become more important or less important over the next few years?

Let us know below.

Most businesses spend a lot of time thinking about how to attract customers.

Far fewer spend time thinking about how they attract employees.

But here's the thing:

The people you bring into your business shape your culture, influence your customers' experience, and ultimately help deliver on the promises your brand makes every day.

So if your brand is helping you attract customers, shouldn't it also help you attract the right people?

Today's candidates are paying attention.

They're looking beyond job titles and salaries. They're evaluating culture, values, leadership, and whether a business feels aligned with the environment they want to be part of.

That's why employer branding matters.

Because the strongest businesses don't just attract customers.

They attract people who believe in what they're building.

In our latest blog, we explore why your brand isn't only competing for customers, it's competing for talent.

Strategy First. Then Video

Video marketing has become one of the most powerful tools in digital marketing but many businesses still assume it’s out of reach.

The truth?
Video content doesn’t always need massive production crews, expensive equipment, or oversized budgets to create impact.

What matters most is strategy.

At The Creative Distillery, we create strategic video content that builds brand awareness, tells meaningful stories, showcases products and services, strengthens social media, positions teams and leadership, and ultimately creates a deeper, more authentic connection with your audience

From professionally shot footage to AI-generated video content, there are more ways than ever to create engaging marketing content without the traditional production cost.

Because good video marketing isn’t about creating content for the sake of it.

It’s about creating intentional content that supports your brand strategy and business goals.

Whether you’re launching a brand, introducing a new service, building trust online, or improving your social media presence, strategic video can become one of the most effective tools in your marketing ecosystem.

Strategy first. Then video.

Spend Smarter. Get Results

You can spend thousands on marketing and still feel like nothing is connecting.

More posts. More ads. More content.
But no clear direction. No consistency. No measurable growth.

At The Creative Distillery, we believe better marketing results don’t come from doing more, they come from building the right strategy first.

Because effective digital marketing isn’t just about visibility.
It’s about clarity, positioning, messaging, consistency, and creating marketing that actually supports business growth.
Our approach is rooted in building a clear strategic foundation bringing together brand and content strategy, social media, website direction and campaign alignment to support meaningful, long-term marketing performance.
When that strategy is clear, everything else starts to work harder. Your message sharpens, your brand becomes more recognisable, your content more intentional, and your marketing investment far more effective.
Good marketing should feel connected, not chaotic.

If your business is investing in marketing without seeing the results you expected, it may be time to stop guessing and start building strategically.

Most businesses say they want authentic employee advocacy.

But authenticity rarely appears on its own.

People don’t always know what they’re allowed to say, how to say it, or whether they should be speaking publicly about the business at all. So the stories that would make a brand feel credible and human often stay hidden.

What we usually see instead is either silence… or messaging that feels overly polished and disconnected from real experience.

In our latest blog, we explore why authentic employee advocacy requires more than good culture — and how strategy, clarity, and support help employees share stories that feel genuine, aligned, and human.

Because authenticity doesn’t just happen.

It’s built.
