Ask yourself this question:

What is a bank?

Now, what else is a bank?

A riverbank.

And what does a riverbank hold? A current.

Money works in a similar way. It’s constantly flowing towards new markets, industries, technologies and opportunities.

Your job is to develop the intuition to recognise where that flow is heading and position yourself in its path.

Because you don’t simply “earn” money.

Money moves from one person to another through an exchange of value.

Understand where attention is moving. Understand where demand is growing. Create genuine value there.

Position yourself in the right current and eventually, you’re going to get it.

Does the algorithm really show you the truth?

In this clip, Stirling questions that as part of a much bigger picture.

The algorithm is designed to understand what triggers your feelings and emotions at any given moment, then serve you more of the content most likely to keep you hooked.

The paradox is that this can reinforce the narratives we already believe and in turn, contribute to greater division.

The Social Dilemma on Netflix is something that I think everyone should watch. It gives a fascinating insight into what really is happening behind our screens and how algorithms can influence the way we think, behave and see the world around us.

Your ability to think freely should be at the forefront of what you protect.

Break the cycle of doomscrolling. Understand what someone wants you to believe. Deconstruct it. Spot the patterns. Question what you’re being shown, and root yourself in intuition and truth.

As AI and algorithms become increasingly embedded in society, awareness and accountability have to be at the forefront. Sometimes uncomfortable truths need to be confronted if we want to create a healthier, more sustainable culture.

Don’t let an algorithm dictate your reality.

Think for yourself. Live a life by design.
