The Calling (The Mission):
Solanga and other marked children awaken to Ubuthakathi, learning to sense and wield Nyama—the living essence flowing between Mkhathi (Space) and Khathi (Time). Their purpose is not heroism, but survival: to stabilize villages, confront witch-born entities, and prevent ancestral breaches from tearing the world apart.

The Sacred Balance (Power Structure):
The world is held together by Ancestors, Deities, and Elders, beings too powerful to walk openly among humans. Their influence is filtered through clan praises, rituals, and vessels. As long as the old laws are respected, Nyama flows in balance—and humanity remains fragile but free.

The Great Fracture (Turning Point):
A forgotten crime—the Massacre of the Land—resurfaces. Ancestors are silenced, deities withdraw, and corrupted architects of witchcraft begin rewriting Ubuthakathi itself. Shadow villages appear, Tikoloshe multiply, and the boundary between the living and the ancestral collapses.

The Descent (Escalation):
Survival gives way to cosmic conflict. Clans turn on each other. Children are forced into rites meant for gods. Ancient beings initiate a hidden war across time, using humans as vessels, sacrifices, and weapons. The question is no longer how to live—but whether humanity deserves to continue
